Dear Lovely Customers!

Sherlock Holmes and the Emperor is doing a barbecue in the middle of a bar-jungle with some tourists waving and playing with a stressball.
This is how a screenplay would begin summarizing Boutiq’Bar’s new menu.
Although the movie in the bar is diff erent every night, we love every minutes of it. Making cocktail, tending the bar, everything, the dingy red walls, the sticky air and the wide smiling faces.
Thank you for being part of it, even for eight long years.
In exchange we create, care, and do as much as we can, to give you an exceptional cocktail-experience as positive as we can, but is your duty to drink responsibly.

This movie has an age restriction. Over 18 only.

OLD FASHIONED

Neglected these days, the Old-Fashioned is a drink to order. Originally — in 1806, at least, which is good enough for us — a “cocktail” was a morning drink (ah, America!) made up of a litt le water, a little sugar, a lot of liquor, and a couple splashes of bitters. Strong, square-jawed, with just enough civilization to keep you from hollerin’ like a mountain-jack. The customary fruit garnish — all those orange slices, cherries, pineapple sticks and whatnot — is an example of the indignities, that so many American cocktails had visited upon them under Prohibition. Anything to hide the taste of the liquor. A special no-no is the common practice of muddling the fruit with the sugar before pouring in the hooch. This turns a noble drink into a sickly, sweet, gooey mess. Rye or bourbon? North or South, East or West, Kentucky Colonel or New York Knickerbocker? To many questions, but since you can make a fine-tasting drink with almost any liqueurs — brandy, rum, gin, Irish whiskey or even scotch does not really matter.

DevilJim Beam Devil’s Cut, chili bitt ers, and some cherry. Some like it hot.

THE PUNCH

Though it’s mainly known as a non-alcoholic beverage today, punch was invented as a beer alternative in the 17th century by men, working the ships for the British East India Company. These men were accomplished drinkers, throwing back an allotment of 10 pints of beer per shipman per day. But when the ships reached the warmer waters of the Indian Ocean, the beer held in cargo bays grew rancid and flat. Once the boats reached the shore, sailors created new drinks out of the ingredients indigenous to their destinations: rum, citrus and spices.
These drinks are designed for 4-8 people.
